    Description: 
    Kit Carson in frontiersman garb, riding a horse. His hands are gloved; he holds his hat in his proper right hand while his proper left hand holds his gun and the horse's reins. The proper right rear hoof of the horse is lifted off the ground. The horse stands on a base with an inscribed plaque and two maps of Nevada showing the trails traveled by Carson.
