    Remarks:
Commissioned by the Hastings Museum Foundation. Water fills the smaller basin and flows into the larger basin. Cranes were chosen as subject matter because of the museum's close proximity to the Platte River, which is used by 500,000 cranes as a midpoint resting stop along their 7,000 mile migratory journey. The sculpture captures the mating ritual "dance" that is performed by the cranes at the big bend area of the Platte River. IAS files contain two related brochures from the Hastings Museum and a related article from the Omaha World Herald, Aug. 2, 1994, pg. 13.
