    Description: 
    Three figures seated on a bench reading; a woman, a girl and a boy. The women holds an open book with her proper left hand, her proper right arm is around the boy. The boy has his proper right foot on the bench, as he holds an open book with both hands. The girl lies on the lap of the woman, and reads the boy's book.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture is no. 15 of a limited edition of 21, and was presented to the Beatrice Public Library by the Cook Family in recognition of Betty C. Cook, who was Chairman of the Beatrice Public Library Board, as well as the Building Committee. The sculpture was a project of the Beatrice Public Library Foundation, Inc. IAS files contain transcription of nearby plaque and brochure from the Beatrice Public Library and Arboreteum.
