    Description: 
    Eight sections of the dismantled Berlin Wall, with cutouts in the shape of a man and woman, through which people can walk. The wall is covered with German graffiti, including initials of political groups and dates.

    Remarks: 
    Artist bought the sections of the Berlin Wall from the German government, when the wall was dismantled. The graffiti was on the wall prior to the wall's purchase. IAS files contain related newsclippings from the Columbia Tribune (Columbia, MO) dated June 10, 1990; Sept. 27, 1990; and Oct. 4, 1990; and from the Kansas City Star, Oct. 4, 1990, April 20, 1991, and April 22, 1991.
