    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain an excerpt of a 1913 pamphlet that notes the sculpture was intended to typify the bravery and self sacrifice of all the North Andover men who have served in the army and navy in any of the wars in defense of our country. A copy of the pamphlet is available in the Historic Pamphlet File at the Stevens Memorial Public Library in North Andover, Massachusetts.
