    Description: 
    The bronze figure of a World War I doughboy carrying his rifle over his proper right shoulder is mounted atop a tall square granite base. The soldier is walking with his proper left leg forward. Adjacent to his proper right foot is a German World War I helmet. His proper left arm swings at his side and his proper left hand is clenched in a fist. A field pack, a water canteen, and a helmet are strapped to his back.
