    Wo-Peen, "The dreamer," was commissioned by Miss Clara Endicott Sears, the founder of the Fruitlands Museums, to symbolize the contemplative aspect of the Native American psyche. Wo-Peen was a Pueblo artist who posed for the sculpture.
