    Description: 
    Abstract representation of a rhino stands on a flat base. The rhino is toothless with an open mouth and a white horn on its nose. The sculpture is a house-like structure with a locked door at the rear.

    Remarks: 
    Gift of the State of Maine to the University. The state acquired the sculpture from the widow of the artist. The sculpture was damaged by arson in Oct. 1987 and repaired by Jeff Bell. IAS files include related articles from the Portland Press Herald, Oct. 7, 1980 and Oct. 28, 1987.
