IAS files contain articles from River Cities (1987): pg. 12, 34; and The Dallas Morning News, Aug. 31, 1986, pg. 53A; and a copy of the dedication program. In addition, IAS files contain letters and contracts documenting the agreements between the artist and the City of Pineville for the sculpture's execution and funding; the artist's statement; fund-raising letters developed by the Motherhood Memorial Committee; and a letter from Mayor Fred Baden to the committee members with information on obtaining contributions and the site chosen for the monument.
