Description:
Two low reliefs, one installed on each side of the center arch of a park bridge. Each relief depicts a reclining nude female figure. On one side of the bridge, the woman leans back on her proper left elbow and rests her proper right arm behind her head. Both legs are bent and her proper right leg is crossed over her proper left. She has long wavy hair. In the background are various leaves. On the other side of the bridge, the woman leans back on her proper right elbow and gestures across her chest with her proper left hand. Both legs are bend and her head is tilted to the proper right. There are various leaves in the background.

These reliefs were created on site by the artist as part of a Works Progress Administration project in
New
Orleans
City Park. A mold of the artist's clay relief was attached to wooden forms on the bridge; when the concrete was poured for the bridge, the reliefs were created. Historic
