    Remarks:
The commissioning of the sculpture was made possible by a grant from the N.S. Group, Inc., the parent company of Newport Steel. According to a brochure prepared by the Department of Art at the University, "the bronze figure represents humanity and the moving winged forms symbolize the quest for knowledge through technology." IAS files contain a related article from the Cincinnati Post, April 30, 1991 and a copy of the Dedication Ceremony brochure.
