    Description: 
    Heroic bas-relief scene of early Kentucky settlers, set within curved exedra surrounding a circular stepped plaza which includes floor map of Ft. Harrod and the Northwest Territory. The heroic bas-relief depicts early pioneer settlers. Shown is a man standing in front of horse loaded with supplies, with rifle in his proper right hand. To his right, there are two men, one with rifle and one with sack; and to his left, another man with a rifle, and a woman holding a child in her arms. The men wear fringed, belted hunting shirts and caps.
