    Description: 
    A grouping of five pioneer-type figures surround each other in circular fashion. The figures include: a farmer with a plow; a workman with a pickaxe; a priest carrying a cross; a ship's captain-type figure with his proper left hand on a large boatwheel; and, a pioneer woman. All the figures wear hats. The sculpture is atop a circular platform.
