    Description: 
    A figure of Jesus represented as a full-length, standing figure with his arms spread wide, palms foward. He is bearded and wears a full-length robe with the Sacred Heart on his chest. Jesus stands atop a hemisphere, and at his feet are a crown of thorns, a whip and three nails.

    Sculpture is from France and is a copy of one in the shrine of Montmartre in France. For related articles see Notre Dame Scholastic, Feb. 25, 1893, pg., 381, 675; and Notre Dame Scholastic, June 4, 1898, pg. 584. The illegible plaque on the plinth may bear the artist's name and a commemoration of a first prize award in Paris.
