    A young immigrant walks in full stride, carrying a suitcase in his proper right hand and waving goodbye with his proper left hand. He wears a cap and a lapelled jacket. The figure is mounted upon a circular, fenced base representing a coal mound.

    The figure is part of a larger commemorative setting erected to honor to the immigrants and coal mining heritage of Clinton, which includes a Toro Bull drinking fountain and Coal Mound Tower.
