    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain a copy of the Anderson Herald Bulletin (Anderson, IN), June 14, 1988 discussing the unveiling of the sculpture. The cast bronze sculpture was done by the university's artist-in-residence, Kenneth G. Ryden, in tribute to the late Dr. John A. Morrison, former president of the university. A plaque on a concrete tablet behind the figure reads: JOHN ARCH MORRISON COMMEMORATIVE SCULPTURE/BY KENNETH G. RYDEN/DEDICATED JUNE 13, 1988/BY FRIENDS, ALUMNI, AND FAMILY/TO HONOR ANDERSON UNIVERSITY'S FIRST PRESIDENT 1919-1958./THE FOLLOWING ARE RECOGNIZED/FOR THEIR GENEROUS SUPPORT/TO THE DR. JOHN A. MORRISON TRIBUTE: (a list of names follows).
