    Description: 
    The base and figures have been carved from the same stone. The three figures, the teacher with her arms around two children, emerge from the base and are depicted waist length.

    Conflicting dates given. Although plaque inscription gives dedication date of 1887; date on base inscription is 1927. Inventory cataloger unable to resolve conflict.
