    Description: 
    Seven silhouette figures placed around a creek, in various poses: sitting, standing, and one pair arm in arm as they look onto the creek. Two figures are on the north side of the bank and the others are on the south bank. The figures represent the people of Champaign County who helped save an abused historic prairie stream.

Inscription on nearby marker reads: BONEYARD CREEK SCULPTURE BY FRANK GALLO DEDICATED SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1976 IN COMMEMORATION OF THE PEOPLE OF CHAMPAIGN COUNTY WHO HAVE BANDED TOGETHER TO REVITALIZE AN ABUSED HISTORIC PRAIRIE STREAM. THE RESTORATION OF THE 3.9 MI STREAM TO A HYDROLICALLY BEAUTIFUL URBAN PARKWAY THROUGH THE CENTER OF CHAMPAIGN-URBANA AND THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS WAS THE MAJOR HORIZON '76 PROJECT OF THE CHAMPAIGN COUNTY BICENTENNIAL COMMISSION.
    A GRANT FROM THE ILLINOIS BICENTENNIAL COMMISSION MADE THIS SCULPTURE POSSIBLE.
