    Description: 
    A wrought iron sculpture of five elongated painted stick figures. Three form the base for the fourth figure, who is being boosted up, and the fifth, who stands atop the shoulders of two figures. Only the faces and hands of each figure are detailed; all figures are similar, but with minor differences. The sculpture is mounted upon a circular foundation, surrounded by a circular brick walkway.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain the dedication program for the Jones Lane Memorial Highway, dated Jan. 7, 1981, which states that the sculpture "denotes upward movement as humans pursue their quest for mobility." The sculpture was installed after the January 7, 1981 dedication of the Highway and the Park, named for State Representative W. Jones Lane.
