    Remarks: 
    Monument to Carl Graham Fisher (1874-1939), a pioneer developer of Miami Beach. The monument stands in a park that Fisher had donated to the City of Miami Beach. Upon Fisher's death, his friends originally planned to turn the park into a memorial and burial site for him. His widow, however, had Fisher cremated and his remains taken to the family mausoleum in Indianapolis. IAS files contain copies from Howard Kleinberg's "Miami Beach," Miami: Centennial Press, 1994, pg. 135-136.
