Description:
A 352-foot-long, ribbon-shaped wall of glass-enclosed panels of
Colorado
soil. The spiraling wall starts outside, on the west side of the
Arvada
Center, and winds its way through the building. Outside the building, the wall starts very low to the ground, gradually sloping upward until it reaches a height of 24 feet. The wall is interrupted several times by architectural features and seating nooks. The wall is made of glass panels in a steel frame. Visible through the glass are wood panels with various shades of top soil glued on in swirling layers.
