    Description: 
    Abstract sculpture with fanciful shapes, ending with three support legs bolted to concrete caissons. On sections there are bolts that are integrated into the piece. The sculpture is painted with enamel in an abstract manner using black linear elements that mimic the shapes in the sculpture. Sculpture is painted yellow, red, blue, white, and flat black.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was purchased for $6,000 by the Vail Valley Arts Council in honor of Arne Hanson, a local art gallery owner. The sculpture is one in an edition of three and was originally located in front of Hansen's gallery, Arnesen Fine Art, in Vail, Colorado. It was dedicated at its new site on July 10, 1993, as part of the 10th Annual Vail Arts Festival.
    Nearby plaque reads: IN MEMORY OF/ARNE HANSEN/GIFT FROM THE VAIL VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL/"IS ANYONE LISTENING"/DONALD MITCHELL/MAY 12, 1992. IAS files contain correspondence dated April 13, 1992 from artist, with installation instructions; and newspaper articles from the Vail Daily dated July 8, 1993, p. 5, and July 10, 1993.
