    Remarks:
The fountain is a recast made in 1977 of an original fountain designed by Faville for the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. The original fountain was one of two Italianate fountains designed for the Half Dome of the Palace of Education. After the closing of the Exposition, the fountain was purchased by Faville and presented to the City of Sausalito. In 1936 the original fountain was restored. In 1977, as part of the city's Bicentennial Project, the original fountain, which was deteriorating, was recast. The new fountain was cleaned in May 1993.
