    Description: 
    A roofless stone structure with a rectangular fountain and reflecting pool in the center. The fountain jets are mounted in a beam across the top of the reflecting pool, and their spray creates a wall of water. The inside walls of the structure are covered with black granite inscription panels listing the names of Medal of Honor recipients and the campaign for which they fought. Embedded in the walkway at the front of the memorial are the service emblems representing the five branches of the armed forces.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial was erected by the Riverside National Cemetery Medal of Honor Memorial Committee in honor of all Medal of Honor recipients. The project cost $1.7 million, which was raised through private and corporate donations. IAS files a copy of an article from DefenseLink News, Nov. 5, 1999, which describes the dedication ceremony.
