    A two-dimensional, steel-plate sculpture composed of silhouette style images affixed to and around a half arch. The images depicted include: a family composed of a woman, man, boy and girl; a computer; a mortarboard and rolled up diploma; a car; two hands reaching towards each other; and footprints leading to an open door.

    The sculpture cost approximately $385. A sign in front of sculpture reads: THE DREAM/1998/A SCULPTURE MADE IN COLLABORATION WITH ARTIST/MENTOR D.E. SHAW AND THE 8TH AND 9TH GRADE/ART STUDENTS OF MR. MITCH WRIGHT./THIS PROJECT WAS SUPPORTED BY BATESVILLE AREA ARTS COUNCIL, THE ARKANSAS ARTS COUNCIL,/BATESVILLE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AND THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS. The sculpture is one of two at the junior high school created by the students. (For other sculpture see IAS AR000296). The images on the sculpture were created from the students' drawings and represent the students's future interests. IAS files contain an article from the Batesville Daily Guard, April 22, 1998; and the artist's prospectus for the project.
