    Description: 
    Abstract, mostly square sculpture with diagonal lines. It is made of stainless steel lined with colored plexiglass and lit from within by fluorescent lights. The sculpture is wired to illuminate with the street lights. It is designed to simulate the Northern Lights.

    Remarks: 
    Commissioned by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce as part of the Honor the Arts Program instituted by business and government. The cost was $22,000. Cash and in-kind donations came from local business and the site was provided by the General Services Administration. IAS files include related articles from the Anchorage Daily News, March 5, 1980 and Aug. 5, 1981 and the Anchorage Times, Aug. 6, 1981. IAS files also includes the text of a nearby commemorative plaque which lists donors.
