    Bronze sculpture of eagle in flight on top of a supporting metal arc. The eagle's talons are extended and the wings are outstretched.

    Remarks: 
    The War Eagle sculpture was a gift to Auburn University from Lewis P. White, Class of 1948, and others. It was presented as a symbol of the "Auburn Spirit" for all students, alumni, and supporters. The sculptor for the eagle was Jack Hucks, and it was cast at the Hoka Hey Fine Arts Foundry in Dublin, Texas. The architect for the arc and the base was John E. Davis, Class of 1939, of Davis, Black & Associates of Birmingham, and the contractor was Bailey-Harris Construction Company of Auburn. IAS files contain a copy of the program for the dedication ceremony, December 2, 1989.
