    A woman (representing the State of Michigan) in classical dress stands in front of an obelisk. She holds a laurel branch in her proper right hand and another object in her proper left hand. She stands atop a pedestal projecting from the bottom of the obelisk. The obelisk stands atop a two-tiered base.

    Remarks: 
    Tribute to Michigan's veterans of the Vicksburg campaign. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 07279). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form and photocopied image of study for memorial. Cost $10,000.
