    Description: 
    A flagpole, with four life-size tigers seated and emerging from the flagpole base. The flagpole is decorated with a design of Colorado columbine and rosettes; and on the base's octagonal sides, the Colorado College shield, seal, and motto (Scienta et Discipline). An eagle sits atop the pole. Four benches surround the flagpole.

    Remarks: 
    The flagpole was a gift from Mrs. Augusta D. Swart-Earle as a memorial to her husband who was an instructor of business administration at Colorado College from 1929-1931. In August 1987, the flagpole was moved back about fifty feet from its original location.
