    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Civil War Major Brigadier General Andrew J. Smith. Monument is located on land that was formerly property of Vicksburg National Military Park. Erected by the federal government. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03341). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. The sculpture may have been moved from its original installation site. Bronze cost $1500 and pedestal cost $198 paid by Federal Government.
