A relief plaque consisting of a waist-length portrait of William Wade, dressed in a military uniform. Below the relief is an inscription. The relief plaque is affixed to an upright granite stele.

Colonel William Wade, Chief of the C.S. Artillery, was killed on April 29, 1863 during the Vicksburg campaign. $300 for bronze dontaed by Missouri Red Granite Company.
