    Description:
A fountain comprised of a wading pool and four groups of figures. At one end, above a stepped platform, a mother is seated, holding a young child in her lap. On the platform to her proper right is a small girl who has garland draped over her shoulders. The girl's proper left hand draws the end of the garland out of the water. To the mother's proper left, a young boy is seated on the platform. He holds a small dog in his proper left arm, as his proper right arm reaches out to touch the water below. At the other end of the pool, an older boy rests against a tree stump with a salamander crawling on it, and dips his proper right foot into the pool.

    Remarks:
In 1921, Weiblen Marble & Granite Works completed the fountain; the wading pool was possibly built in 1935-36 as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project; and in 1963, the piece was "converted into mist fountain in memory of Frank J. Lauer."
