Remarks:
Gift of Cornelia Warren in memory of her cousin, John E. Warren, a State Senator and paper manufacturer in Westbrook. Mortimer Warren Jr., Senator Warren's grandson, modeled for the figure. The round base stone was once owned by Senator Warren, who pulled it from a river bed by his paper mill. In the late 1980s, the second grade class at Saccarappa School cleaned the sculpture yearly.
