    Description: 
    A bronze bust of Lincoln rests on a granite pedestal in the center of a curved granite wall. Flanking the bust are two rectangular bronze plaques, one inscribed with the Gettysburg Address and one inscribed with the text of a letter to Lincoln.

    The inscription on a marker in front of the monument reads: LINCOLN ADDRESS/MEMORIAL/THIS MONUMENT COMMEMORATES/LINCOLN'S GETTYSBURG ADDRESS,/NOVEMBER 19, 1863./THE ADDRESS WAS DELIVERED/ABOUT 300 YARDS FROM THIS SPOT/ALONG THE UPPER CEMETERY DRIVE./THE SITE IS NOW MARKED BY THE/SOLDIER'S NATIONAL MONUMENT/DEDICATED JAN. 24, 1912 - SCULPTOR, HENRY BUSH-BROWN.
