    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a uniformed Union infantryman stands atop a square pedestal on a low base. He holds a musket at the barrel in his proper left hand with the butt at his foot. He is biting off the end of a paper cartridge, held in his proper right hand, in order to load his weapon.
