    Description: 
    Abstract stainless steel sculpture consisting of a vertical disc and an undulating arch over the disc. The disc is mounted on a shaft and can be manually rotated at intervals to provide visual variety. The sculpture is mounted on a black concrete aggregate base which stands in a round fountain basin.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was commissioned as an Art in State Buildings project. Cost of the sculpture was $60,000. The sculpture was fabricated by Utilicon; the fountain basin was fabricated by Guiton Pools. The disc of the sculpture is manually rotated to a different position three or four times a year. IAS files contain copy of related artist's statement and copy of related Oct. 2, 1979 State of California press release.
