    Description: 
    A figure of St. Aloysius, dressed in priestly vestments, stands holding a crucifix in front of himself with both hands. The figure is placed atop a concrete shelf that projects from the church tower.

    Remarks: 
    The figure was imported from Paris, France in 1931, for the sixtieth anniversary of the Parish. The church suffered damage from a fire in 1976, but the tower was retained and remodeled. IAS files contain a related article from the Nashua Telegraph, June 22, 1931; and a related excerpt from the "Saint Louis-de-Gonzague Paroisse-Parish, Nashua, New Hampshire Album-Souvenir 1871-1971," Nashua, New Hampshire, 1971, pg. 26. A plastic cover surrounding the figure was later removed. IAS image files include photos of the figure with the plastic cover.
