Full-length standing portrait of Thomas A. Doyle. He is dressed in 19th century frock, has mutton-chop facial hair, and holds a scrolled document in his proper right hand at his side. He stands atop a tall rectangular base.

Formerly located Cathedral of St. Peter & Paul, Providence, Rhode Island 1889-1967.
Remarks:
Erected by the Masonic Bodies of Rhode Island in honor of Thomas A. Doyle, mayor of Providence. Statue was cast in
Paris
. Originally sited in Providence in front of Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, a few blocks away from its current site. The statue was relocated during urban renewal in 1967. New pedestal was designed in the 1960s.
