    Full-length standing portrait of Thomas A. Doyle. He is dressed in 19th century frock, has mutton-chop facial hair, and holds a scrolled document in his proper right hand at his side. He stands atop a tall rectangular base.

    Formerly located Cathedral of St. Peter & Paul, Providence, Rhode Island 1889-1967.
    Remarks: 
    Erected by the Masonic Bodies of Rhode Island in honor of Thomas A. Doyle, mayor of Providence. Statue was cast in Paris. Originally sited in Providence in front of Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, a few blocks away from its current site. The statue was relocated during urban renewal in 1967. New pedestal was designed in the 1960s.
