Remarks:
IAS files contain related article from Detroit News, Jan. 19, 1984, which indicates sculpture was then on long term loan to the University from Gilbert Silverman. Silverman, a Southfield building contractor, had originally loaned the sculpture to the University in 1973 for exhibit to coincide with a national art conference being held in Detroit. According to Silverman, the artwork's title derives from a totally continuous mobius curve - where a strip of material is twisted, then joined end to end. IAS files also contain related newsclipping from Daily News (Hillsdale, MI), Oct. 18, 1973. Students sit on the sculpture.
