A copy of Michelangelo's "Pieta." The Virgin Mary holds the lifeless Jesus in her lap. She wears a heavy, hooded cloak. Jesus rests against her proper right arm. The sculpture is mounted on a circular base of concrete with a marble facing, and is placed under a canopy supported by four Doric columns.
