Inscription:  (On plaque on interior wall, below sculpture:) OUR LADY OF SCRANTON/GIFT OF THE NATIONAL ALUMNI SOCIETY/1989 unsigned Description:  The Virgin Mary, carved from wood, stands with hands clasped in prayer. She wears a long robe and a halo that is painted yellow. She is attached to the back wall of a metal shrine. The shrine is painted brown with a painted blue background behind the sculpture. The shrine has a peaked roof with a cross mounted on top. There is a light in the ceiling of the shrine.
