The bust depicts Cobb in a baseball cap and uniform with his proper right hand holding a baseball bat against his proper right shoulder. He was the first player to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. He was named the "Georgia Peach" by the sportswriter Grantland Rice.
