    Remarks: 
    The memorial was erected by the state of Virginia and the Potomac Region Veterans Council in honor of Virginia veterans from all branches of the armed services. The memorial cost approximately $200,000 and was funded by the state of Virginia and the Potomac Region Veterans Council. IAS files contain copies of articles from the Potomac News, Oct. 5, 1995; The Free Lance-Star (Fredericksburg, VA), Oct. 10, 1995; and the Washington Post, Oct. 12, 1995. IAS files also contain a copy of a brochure on the memorial.
