    Description: 
    The memorial is comprised of a bronze sculpture depicting Schiller and Goethe standing side-by-side atop a tall rectangular base. In his proper right hand, Goethe holds a wreath which he passes to Schiller's proper right hand. Schiller holds a scroll in his proper left hand. The sculpture is installed atop a hill overlooking the city, with steps leading up the memorial.

    Remarks: 
    This sculpture, a replica of one erected in Weimar, Germany in 1857, was a gift of the German Societies in Onondaga County. The work was cast in Geislingen, Germany at the Galvano Plastik foundry. Shiller Park was formerly known as Rount Top Park.
