    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is one of an edition of three. It was commissioned for the site by Virginia Pratt Bardeen in memory of her mother, Evlyn Hall Pratt, who became acquainted with George Ricky when he was Director of the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts from 1939 to 1940. IAS files contain a related excerpt from Fay Hendry's "Outdoor Sculpture in Kalamazoo," Okemos, MI: Iota Press, 1980, sect. A-8.
