Inscription:  A J Regier '74 signed Description:  A plow beam and five shafts of varying-sized grains of wheat. The plow has no handle. Subject:  Object -- Tool -- Plow Object -- Foliage -- Wheat Allegory -- Arts & Sciences -- Agriculture Allegory -- Other -- Change Religion -- Old Testament -- Isaiah Abstract Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Kansas -- Goessel Sculpture Owner:  Mennonite Heritage Museum, 200 North Poplar, Goessel, Kansas 67053 Remarks:  Built in 1974 for the Centennial of the arrival of the Mennonites in Kansas. The plow symbolizes the Isaiah verse, "And they shall beat their swords into plowshares," and the missing handle symbolizes how agriculture is performed through more complex and technical means.
