    Remarks: 
    Erected by the federal government, the monument commemorates Civil War Brigadier General W. S. Featherston. Monument is located on land that was formerly property of Vicksburg National Military Park. SOS! survey listed artist as Ovinn, per inscription. IAS cataloger believes artist may be Quinn. The American Monuments and Outdoor Sculpture Database lists the artist as Quinn. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures (LCS no. 03313). IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form. Bronze cost $650 paid by Federal Government.
