Description:
A high relief bust of Franklin D. Roosevelt atop a rectangular granite base that projects from a rough granite slab. The base is carved with a foliage along the bottom. The memorial originally had flanking mid-level side sections and sat on a wide, two-tiered base.

Remarks:
The sculpture was created inm 1941 through the Works Progress Administration, along with the nearby armory/auditorium, now known as the Rock Gym, on what was originally the high school campus, now the Elberton County Middle School's campus. The sculpture was formerly located about twenty feet away, near the armory/auditorum, now known as the Rock Gym. Richard Cecchini completed the sculpture after
Prezzi
's death. In 1995, the sculpture was restored through the fund-raising efforts of a group of Elberton County Middle School students known as the HARD ROCK Kids, an acronym for Having A Real Dream - Restoring Our Cultural Keepsakes.
