Description:
Granite shaft with apex cap, and bronze adornments, including a trefoil design and state tondo on one side; and a relief depicting Union soldier sharing canteen and shaking hands with a Confederate soldier under a banner inscribed Peace and Unity.

Remarks:
One of 90 monuments in the park honoring New York regiments. The monument marks the position reached by the 66th regiment in the early evening of July 2, 1863. The monument (referred to as MN 155) is listed on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 20, 1975-1976.
