Description:
One of two allegorical figures, one representing the past and one the future, which flank the entrance to the building. On the left side of the entrance, Future is symbolized by a seated female dressed in long robes which are draped around the back of her chair. Her proper left arm hangs over the arm of the chair. Her proper right arm rests across her lap on top of an open book. Her head is partially covered by the drapery and she wears sandals. The base is adorned with shields and other military and government symbols carved in relief.
